What is the cost of attending an Academy event?

Registration for each summer college counseling course is $400. This amount is non-refundable. Payments are to be made by check or using your credit card online.

What is included in the cost of the course?

Summer class participants receive three days of instruction,  continental breakfast and lunch for all three days, and a custom-designed binder with a complete college counseling curriculum included.

I am not from the area. Where can I stay over night?

Please contact The Academy and we will provide a list of accommodations in the area. These costs will be at the participant's expense.

Are there any professional development opportunities provided with the courses?

Participants are eligible to receive continuing education credits from the State of Illinois upon completing a course. In addition, Summer Academy participants who complete an entire course syllabus (College Counselor 101, 201 or 301) are eligible to receive two hours of graduate credit from Elmhurst College at an additional cost. Further information will be mailed after you register for a course. Participants must attend all sessions of a course to be eligible for these opportunities.
